Štajerska (Styrian) hills are traditionally wine-producing area of fine wines. Mainly around Jerusalem wineries receives high international awards. Vino Kupljen is more than 180 years old excellent wine cellar. Their restaurant Taverna offers also plenty of local specialties and traditional food. Rooms are available. Definitely worth of your attention. The turistic offer of this small region is not possible to describe in this short tips, so, I suggest you take some time and discover more by yourself.
Directions: You leave the motorway E57 on Exit for “Slo.Bistrica – sever” (North) and Ptuj. On beautiful local road 2 you ride 47.8km in direction to Ormož. If you’ll have spare time, on your way you can visit the museum on Castle Ptuj, Ptuj 360°. Close to Ptuj do not go on motorway E59, stay on local road 454 and soon you’ll be again on road 2 – follow the sign Ormož. After Ormož on your right side you turn in direction Ljutomer on local road 230. After 6km in near of village Mihalovci you turn right in to hills in direction Jeruzalem and Svetinje. You are only 2km from destination Taverna. Google route
